Belgian actress Deborah Francois made her film debut in the Dardenne Brother's "L/Enfant" (The Child). The film won the Golden Palm at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival. She won the Joseph Plateau Award for Best Belgian Actress for her portrayal of a teen mother whose infant is kidnapped by her boyfriend. She was also nominated for a Cesar for Most Promising Actress for her performance.

Her second role was equally performance. Deborah stars as Melanie Prouvost, a self possessed young woman, who quietly sets out to destroy a concert pianist's life in Denis Dercourt's chilling thriller "La Tourneuse de pages" (The Page Turner). Deborah received her second Cesar nomination Most Promising Actress.

Actress has recently finished production in two upcoming films: Stephan Carpiaux's "Les Fourmis rouges" (Red Ants) and Alain Raoust's "L'Ete indien".
